ACC Ambassadors

Not all of our junior volunteers work inside of the shelters ! ACC also needs your help spreading awareness about adoption, as well as the many resources and services we offer to the community. We appreciate your help in getting out the message that ACC is more than just a shelter - we are a community resource too!

ACC Ambassadors are official Junior volunteers. All Junior volunteers are required to attend a one-time orientation to tour the shelter spaces, learn about their responsibilities, and understand our expectations. After completing the orientation, junior volunteers can schedule their volunteer sessions based on their own availability.

There is a one-time $15 fee. Scholarships are available. Junior volunteers will receive volunteer t-shirts and ID badges. T

ACC Ambassadors

Students of all ages can support us in their communities. Want to post flyers about foster orientations? Spread awareness about free behavioral resources on your social media? Advocate for Community Cats? Once you become an ACC Ambassador we can brainstorm and provide you information, so that you can help us end animal homelessness in New York City!

Community Outreach Volunteers

ACC Ambassadors who are 16-17 can join us at tabling events across the city to help share information and inspire others to get involved. ACC Ambassadors would work along side our adult outreach volunteers to share specifically about our Community Kids Programs and engage with young people at our tabling events.
