Shelter Tours and Programs
Learn about how NYC's official animal shelter serves the pets and people in our community by visiting one of our shelters yourself!
Please be aware that all in-shelter programs have a suggested donation. Scholarships based on need are available as well. Please let us know during booking if you are interested in applying for a scholarship for your group.

All shelter programs are available at our three shelter locations. Shelter programs are appropriate for 2nd - 12th graders. Group size is limited, up to two consecutive tours can be booked per day.

Shelter Tours
Book a tour of one of our care centers for your group! Learn about how animals are cared for in our shelter by visiting our spaces first hand.

Books with Boroughbreds
Want to help our animals feel safe, happy, and comfortable while they stay in the shelter? Small groups are welcome to come and participate in our reading program, Books with Boroughbreds!

Looking for a fun way to give back to the animals you meet at our shelters? Your group can book a group volunteering session and help make enrichment treats for the pets in our care!
